Keshni Singh – Foundation Deputy Principal

Welcome to Leppington High School , a new and exciting chapter in public education, built on strong partnerships, high expectations and a shared commitment to student success. As a foundation Deputy Principal, I am deeply honoured to be part of the leadership team at Leppington High School and bring more than 30 years of experience in the NSW Department of Education, including over 20 years in leadership roles across diverse and dynamic school settings.

I will strive for Leppington High School to foster a culture of innovation, inclusion and opportunity, empowering young people to become confident learners, compassionate citizens and capable leaders. At Leppington High School, we are dedicated to Inspiring Excellence and Shaping Futures. This vision will be reflected in every aspect of school life, from outstanding classroom learning to co-curricular opportunities that nurture creativity, resilience and leadership.

Georgina Koskinas – Deputy Principal

With over 25 years of experience in education, I have held a range of leadership roles including Classroom Teacher, Head Teacher Teaching and Learning, and Deputy Principal Inclusion and Support.

I am committed to creating meaningful opportunities for students to discover their strengths, develop confidence in their abilities and reach their full potential both inside and outside the classroom. I believe in building staff capacity to lead, innovate and continuously refine their practice through a strong focus on Curriculum, Assessment, Pedagogy and Engagement.

My goal is to ensure that all students are equipped with the skills, knowledge and resilience required to successfully transition into post-school pathways, leaving Year 12 as capable, confident and future-focused young people who are ready to contribute positively to society.

Ms Alysha Davidson - Leader of Learning in English, Languages and Teaching and Learning

Nobel Prize Laureate and activist Malala Yousafzai once declared that “one child, one teacher, one book, one pen can change the world,” reminding us of the extraordinary power of education to amplify young voices, inspire understanding and create meaningful change.

With 24 years of experience in Sydney’s south-west public schools, including five years as Head Teacher of English and Languages, I bring a deep commitment to public education, equity and excellence.

I am honoured to be part of the foundation journey of Leppington High School. I look forward to working alongside our staff, students and families to create engaging and supportive learning environments where every student is challenged to grow, succeed and discover their voice.

Ms Magda Georgiou - Leader of Learning in CAPA, TAS, Wellbeing and HPGE

I am passionate about leading high-quality teaching and learning that supports every student to thrive academically, creatively and personally. I have 15 years of teaching experience, including 9 years as Head Teacher. As Head Teacher Creative and Performing Arts I am committed to fostering an inclusive and dynamic learning environment where student growth is celebrated both within the classroom and through whole-school extracurricular opportunities.

I strongly believe in nurturing student voice, creativity and wellbeing while ensuring all learners are supported to achieve success. I am particularly passionate about recognising and extending giftedness across the arts and the wider school community, creating opportunities for students to develop confidence, collaboration and excellence through authentic learning experiences.

Ms Natalie MacKellar - Leader of Learning in HSIE, PDHPE and Learning & Support

I am passionate about leading high-quality teaching and learning in HSIE that enables every student to thrive academically and personally. With 21 years of teaching experience, including 13 years as a Head Teacher, I am committed to helping build a strong, inclusive, and high-performing learning culture within a new and growing school community.

I am dedicated to fostering a love of history and the social sciences while developing students’ critical thinking, literacy, and understanding of the world around them. I believe in supporting the whole child by creating inclusive classrooms where all learners are challenged, supported, and empowered to succeed.

Mr Bill Matchett - Leader of Learning in Science, Mathematics, STEM, HPGE and Wellbeing

With more than 30 years of teaching experience, including nearly 20 years in Head Teacher roles, I am a highly experienced leader in science education. I am also a published author, with works including the iScience series, Investigating Science in Focus, SciX: A Guide to the Science Extension Course, and an upcoming physics text for Five Senses Publishing.

As the establishing Head Teacher Science at Leppington High School, I bring extensive experience in implementing effective pedagogies, with a strong focus on metacognitive strategies and supporting students to achieve their personal best.

Ms Rebecca Lawlor - Technology and Applied Sciences Teacher

For 15 years, I worked as a chef across Australia and the United Kingdom. My experience as a Head Chef and mentor developed a passion for teaching and training others. After returning to Australia, I completed my teaching degree with a desire to make a positive difference and inspire a love of learning in future generations. I have now been teaching for 11 years, gaining valuable experience across the Macarthur region.

I specialise in Hospitality: Commercial Cookery and Food & Beverage, Food Technology and Technology, with an interest in other Technology and Applied Studies areas. I enjoy bringing real-world experiences and problem-solving into the classroom, helping students develop practical skills they can use throughout their lives.

Ms Zali Thurgate - Technology and Applied Sciences Teacher

As a Graduate teacher, I am passionate about creating a positive and inclusive learning environment where all students feel a strong sense of belonging. My teaching background is in Technology and Applied Studies (TAS), specialising in Food Technology. I particularly enjoy guiding students in developing their practical, hands-on skills and confidence. I believe practical learning provides students with valuable skills that extend beyond the classroom.

I encourage all students to try new skills, challenge their problem-solving abilities, work collaboratively, and take pride in their achievements. I strongly believe that a positive start to every student’s high school experience establishes a strong foundation for their future learning, personal growth, and success.

Mr Joshua Luc - PDHPE Teacher

With 13 years of experience teaching PDHPE, I am passionate about creating positive and engaging learning experiences where students feel supported, valued and encouraged to be their best. My teaching philosophy centres on building strong relationships and fostering a willingness to grow, while recognising that every student brings their own strengths and qualities to the classroom.

Sport has always been an important part of my teaching journey, with extensive experience in school sport, coaching and coordinating sporting events and programs. I value the role sport plays in bringing people together and developing a sense of belonging. I am excited to be part of our new school community and to help create experiences and traditions that students and families will value for years to come.

Mr Matthew Garland - PDHPE Teacher

I am honoured to join Leppington High School as a foundation PDHPE teacher and to contribute to shaping the culture, opportunities, and experiences of our inaugural students. With over 20 years of experience teaching PDHPE in schools across the Macarthur region, I am passionate about delivering high-quality teaching and learning that challenges students to achieve their personal best, while fostering confidence, resilience, teamwork, and a strong sense of belonging.

I am excited about the opportunity to help build a school community where every student is encouraged to discover their strengths, pursue excellence, and contribute positively. I look forward to working alongside students, staff, and families as we shape the future of Leppington High School.

Ms Gurpreet Kaur - Mathematics Teacher

With over 18 years of experience teaching Mathematics, including more than 8 years in schools across the Sydney region and 10 years overseas, I am passionate about building students’ confidence, resilience and understanding of Mathematics.

I strive to create engaging and supportive learning environments that encourage students to think critically, develop independence and reach their full potential. I also value strong partnerships with parents and families in supporting students’ learning, wellbeing and success.

I am delighted to be joining Leppington High School and look forward to contributing to the school community and supporting our students in their learning, growth and achievement.

Ms Milena Romic - English Teacher

I am honoured to be part of the foundation team at Leppington High School. I join the team with over a decade of experience in the selective school sector and strive to support students to excel academically in an inclusive and rigorous learning environment. My teaching practice is grounded in high expectations, explicit instruction and a commitment to helping every student achieve their full potential.

I am particularly passionate about gifted education and the opportunities it provides to extend students. Throughout my career, I have developed extensive expertise in English, having taught across all stages and courses. This breadth of experience has strengthened my ability to design challenging learning experiences that cater to a diverse range of students. I look forward to inspiring lifelong learners who use their knowledge and skills to make a positive impact on the world.

Ms Erin Kremer - School Psychologist

I am a passionate school psychologist dedicated to promoting mental health and wellbeing in our school community. As a foundation member of this wonderful school, I’m excited to be part of building a positive and supportive environment where teachers, students, and families can thrive. I love working with everyone to build strong relationships and foster a sense of connection and belonging, helping each student reach their full potential both academically and emotionally.

Ms A. McKinnon - School Business Manager

I’m excited to introduce myself as the Business Manager for Leppington High School. With seven years of experience working in schools, I bring a strong problem-solving mindset and a positive, can-do approach that I believe will be a great asset to our new school.

I am committed to supporting Leppington High as it grows, ensuring we have the resources and foundations needed to set up our students for success. Together with staff, students, and our community, I look forward to creating an engaging learning environment that enables our students to maximise their potential.

Ms D. Tandera - School Administration Officer

I am delighted to introduce myself as Leppington High School’s Administration Officer. Since 2021, I have been proudly working with the Department of Education and am passionate about supporting students and making a positive difference in the education sector. I look forward to welcoming our inaugural Year 7 cohort in 2027 and supporting each student as they navigate their high school journey, pursue their goals, and achieve their full potential.
